Muga Prado Enea 2010 among the three best wines in the world, according to Decanter

25/01/2018 Wineries

Recently, the prestigious English publisher Decanter has shared a list with the 75 best wines in the world for under 55 pounds (€ 60). The magnificent third place is for Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva, the new 2010 vintage of this great Rioja wine that we have just received at Decántalo.

To create this list, they carried out a blind tasting. They only knew the variety and the vintages of wines from 20 different countries. Among the prestigious tasters were influential people such as wine journalist Oz Clarke. The scale used was that of the 100-point scale, similar to the one used for the Decántalo scores. In this tasting, they also used 15 extra points to rate the degree of surprise that the wine had for the taster. In general, they were surprised by the good scores obtained by wines, with 84% of them above 90 points, and by the wide range of minority varieties that were tasted from around the world.

This publication also includes other Spanish wines that are among the 75 best wines with outstanding scores: With 95 extraordinary points: Gonzalez Byass Fino 3 Palmas and Algueira Merenzao 2014. And with another 94 magnificent points: Freixenet Casa Sala Gran and Marqués de Murrieta Capellanía 2013.

In short, with the 2010 vintage Muga Prado Enea claim to be one of the wines of reference in the global market, as well as other Muga wines. Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
