Wines from the Community of Madrid

Although they do not have a long history, the wines from Madrid can boast quality and effort in their creation. The central region of Spain is divided into three sub-areas: Arganda, Navalcarnero and San Martín de Valdeiglesias. With varied soils and a continental climate, in Madrid both red and rosé wines are mainly produced for consuming young. Some quality crianza wines are also produced. Of special interest among the wines from Madrid are those referred to as "sobremadre", prepared in a special way that adds carbon dioxide.
