Besides being in charge of the wine selection at Decántalo, Nacho Martínez (alias "Pistacho") is also an independent winemaker. This was already demonstrated with Moteur Pistache Rosé, a rosé wine resulting from the collaboration with the 4 Kilos winery in Mallorca, and again now with Comando Pistacho Cadausolo de los Vidrios, a natural rosé wine produced with the help of the Comando G winery in Madrid.
The truth is that exploring a thousand and one wine-growing regions with his van and getting to know great winemakers first hand has allowed him to fully immerse himself in the vineyard and the winery to make a wine in his own image. Produced with the Garnacha variety and accompanied by a small percentage of Morate and white varieties, Comando Pistacho Cadausolo de los Vidrios is a coupage from unique plots in the Sierra de Gredos (Madrid) where respectful agriculture is practiced, without the intervention of artificial oenological products. Similarly, in the winery, the fruit is respected to the maximum with spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks and 9 months’ ageing in used French oak barrels.
Under the letter "G" of Garnacha, Gredos and Granite, Comando Pistacho Cadausolo de los Vidrios is an easy and versatile wine that demonstrates the great wines that are being obtained from the Sierra de Gredos in Madrid. A wine region which recovered a few years ago and which is presenting great achievements at an international level.
Comando Pistacho Cadausolo de los Vidrios 2019 is a fresh rosé wine with delicious aromas of fresh red fruit accompanied by herbal notes. On the palate it’s refreshing, light and flavorsome. A wine with a marked acidity, a smooth mid-palate and a pleasant finish.
