Frontonio Supersónico Garnacha is a red wine produced by Bodegas Frontonio in Valdejalón.
Bodegas Frontonio is the result of the union of three people. Fernando Mora, a wine enthusiast and tireless engineer who decided to take part in the wine industry 10 years ago. His concerns led him to want to produce wine, right from his early days in this world, together with his current partner, Francisco Latasa. Together, they met Mario, who had vineyards in Valdejalón. They all started to make wine and experiment. Little by little they have grown in this not-so-known area.
Frontonio Supersónico Garnacha is made from grapes that come from plots planted with old Grenache from Valdejalón. Almost all the grapes are destemmed, leaving only 2% or 3% intact. The must ferments with its skins in cement presses, and then it is racked into barrels, where the wine is aged and stabilised.
Frontonio Supersónico Garnacha is a wine that balances the warm part of the region and the great acidity of the variety. This wine has a part of ripe red fruits with some citric aromas. In the mouth, a perfect acidity balances the mature side.
Bodegas Frontonio was created in 2008 by three friends from Aragón, Fernando Mora, aspirant Master of Wine, Mario López, oenologist from Bodegas Borsao, and Francisco Latasa, lawyer and international trade expert. Fernando started making wines in his parents’ garage. Shortly after, his two friends joined him on this fabulous journey.
