Characteristics Borsao Cabriola
Borsao Cabriola is a barrel-aged red wine made with the Syrah, Grenache and Mazuela varieties in the D.O. Campo de Borja (Zaragoza) by Borsao.
Formed by the merging of three cooperatives in the D.O. Campo de Borja, Borsao is located in the town of Borja (Zaragoza). This area is known as “The Empire of the Garnacha”, and produces a wide range of excellent wines that have put this small Aragonese denomination on the map. Their logo is of a horseman riding around the town of Borsao (the former name for Borja).
Borsao Cabriola comes from old vines aged between 20 and 60 years old that grow under the influence of the Moncayo massif and are traditionally cultivated. The harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
In the winery, Borsao Cabriola first goes through a controlled maceration for 20-25 days. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 to 30 ºC. Finally the wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months.
The name of the wine is inspired by the cabriola, a stunt where a horse gives a couple of kicks while it is in the air. It is a stunt that requires perfect balance. Just like the Borsao Cabriola red wine; power and freshness in balance.

Others wines Borsao
In a relatively short time, Bodegas Borsao has gone from being one of the examples of the wine growing stagnation of some Aragonese cooperatives, to being among the best examples of a company with an intelligent renovation. Although Bodegas Borsao, founded in 1958, is still a cooperative with more than 400 members who cultivate and control more than 1,500 hectares of vineyard, the new wines not only brought a breath of fresh air to Campo de Borja, but they also meant a new beginning for many other Aragonese wines: modernity.
