About Borsao Berola
This winery is located in the town of Borja (Zaragoza) and has played a pivotal role in the origin and development of the D.O. Campo de Borja.
Borsao Berola is crafted from the Garnacha and Syrah grape varieties. The grapes are sourced from old Garnacha vineyards, aged between 35 and 60 years, and Syrah vineyards aged 10 years. Both varieties are cultivated at altitudes of 600-700m on clay-limestone and silty soils.
The winemaking process begins with a maceration period of 3-4 days. This is followed by the fermentation of each variety separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 22-26°C.
After vinification, Borsao Berola is aged for 14 months in French and American oak barriques.
It is recommended to decant the wine one hour prior to enjoying it.
