The winemaking tradition of the village of Tudela de Duero is undeniable, yet the story of Mariano García, who founded and established Mauro in 1978, is more vibrant than ever. The values of tradition, respect for the grape, and precise winemaking transformed into elegance and character in the glass are upheld and extended through the other ventures he established: San Román in Toro, Garmón Continental in Olivares de Duero, Baynos in Rioja Alavesa, and Valeyo in Bierzo.

The hallmark of Mauro is rooted in a profound understanding and respect for the vineyard, which translates into organic cultivation with biodynamic practices, minimally interventionist winemaking with indigenous yeasts, and a balanced use of wood, resulting in wines that deeply express the terroir and have a propensity for aging.
