Characteristics Pesquera Crianza

Pesquera Crianza is a classic red wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero region and is produced by Tinto Pesquera, a winery that belongs the Familia Fernández Rivera group.

The area is home to a mediterranean climate with continental influences, characterised by dry summers and long harsh winters. The temperatures vary noticeably from season to season.

This wine is made using only Tempranillo (100%) grapes than are grown on vineyards which span over 200 hectares on soils composed of sands, gravels and contain limestone and clay.

As for production, after passing a selection table, the grapes are destemmed. They then undego a traditional vinification process. Maceration takes place with the skinds still on, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature with lasts for 2 to 3 weeks.

Finally, Pesquera Crianza ages for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by 6 months in the bottle.

Tasting notes Pesquera Crianza

Pesquera Crianza 2015 comes from an excellent vintage. The tinta del país grape variety obtained all the compounds to be able to express themselves with the maximum potential. A lot of black fruit with a lot of intensity and with a good acidity that allows it to be a concentrated wine with a good fluidity. A good representation of the classic style of Ribera de Duero.

Elegant, tasty and fresh wine. Long and silky mid-palate, full of fruit mixed with roasted nuances. Excellent acidity and kind, tamed and juicy tannins. Very pleasant and long finish with a great persistence.

Cherry red colour with violet edges. Clean and bright wine with medium-high robe. Abundant coloured tear.

High aromatic intensity. Clean and appetising aromas of ripe red fruit over delicate toasted and expressive spiced hints and refreshing balsamic touches.

Elegant, very tasty and very fresh. Long and silky on the palate, full of fruit intermingled with roasted notes. Excellent acidity and juicy, gentle tannins. Long and very persistent finish, very enjoyable.

In the mouth, sublime, remind us again that we have found the fruit on the nose, long, elegant, full-bodied, full of life and in turn ready to drink. One of the red wines from Ribera del Duero best rated.
