About Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage
Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage is a vintage Champagne made with the Chardonnay variety by the Delamotte winery in Champagne, France.
The Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage Champagne is made with selected grapes that grow in plots classified as Grand Cru, with limestone soils that provide a characteristic mineral note to the wines made here. The regulations impose a period of aging on lees of at least 15 months but in this case, the aging process of the wine that makes up Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage Champagne is extended to four or five years to give the body and complexity that rounds and refines through a second aging process following disgorgement.
A great champagne is, first and foremost, a great wine”. This is the premise that the Maison Delamotte works under. And since 1760 they have been making Champagnes in the Côte des Blancs, where the excellent terroir contributes to the exceptional character of the grapes that are used to make their sparkling wines. These are limited production wines with no gimmicks. They are delicate and unique Champagnes.
2014 | Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2014 is a dry sparkling wine (6.5 g/L of sugar). Olfactorily, it is sumptuously rich, exuding scents of dried fruits, butter, white blossoms, and boulangerie. On the palate, it reveals profound depth and concentration, culminating in a lingering finish with mineral undertones. The mousse is refined and sophisticated. |

2012 | Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2012 is a champagne with an intense fruity nose with notes of quince and golden apple as well as nuances of toast, herbs and flowers. On the palate it is balanced with a delicate sweet touch that brings pleasant hints of pastry and hazelnuts. |
