About Delamotte Rosé
Delamotte Rosé is a champagne made by the Delamottewinery in Le Mesnil Sur Oger, A.O.C. Champagne.
Maison Delamotte, founded by François Delamotte in 1760, is the sixth oldest in Champagne. They currently own 5 hectares in the prestigious Grand Cru of Le Mesnil Sur Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, and the remaining grapes come from independent winemakers with 100% Gran Cru vineyards, who have been working for the winery for decades.
In 1988 the winery joined Champagne Salon and became part of the Laurent Perrier group, while keeping all its prestige intact, something that was achieved largely due to its Blanc de Blancs made with one of the best Chardonnays.
Delamotte Rosé is a champagne made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from old vineyards that are all Gran Cru, in the Champagne-Ardenne region.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation is carried out with local yeasts in stainless steel vats. The two varieties co-ferment and the pink color is obtained using the bleeding method. Aging lasts a minimum of 36 months in the bottle with the lees of the second fermentation.;
