About S-Naia
S-Naia is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda produced by the Naia winery. It is made using only Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
The grapes used for S-Naia come from the winery´s own vineyards which span across 23.5 hectares. The majority of the vineyard is planted on low bush vines and are older than 40 years old, whil some vines planted on trellices and are only around 15 years in age. The vineyards are situated at around 800 metres above sea level and are home to calcerous clay soils. The local area is influenced by mediterranean and continental climates.
After the grapes are transported to the winery, the winemaking process begins and is carried out using traditional methods.
S-Naia is a young wine, fresh and explosive that does is not aged. The ‘S’ in the name serves as a reminder that while it is not only Verdejo grapes that can be grown in the region, but also Sauvignon Blanc, which have perfectly adapted to their new homeland.
