Remelluri Reserva is a red wine, made from a blend of 5 different grape varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura and Malyasia. The grapes come the most important vineyards of the property. from vineyards located in soil that contains limestone terraces of calcareous, clayey soil, with bedrock surfacing in certain areas. These terraces consist mainly of sandstone and loam, the origins of which date back to the Quaternary Period.
A different varieties are treated with traditional organic viticulture treatments. The harvest begins in early October and ends in late October / early November. The grapes then go through a selection table. Fermentation then takes place using indigenous yeasts.
Remelluri Reserva is aged for 17 months in barrels of different origins and sizes.
Remelluri Reserva 2013 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe black and red fruits, balsamic notes and hints of mountain herbs. On the palate it’s expressive, complex and elegant. A flavorsome wine with a silky, refreshing texture and a long, lingering finish.
This wine is rich in fine touch of creamy oak, with good expression to ripe red fruit and nuances of citrus in harmony (floral sensation).
Fund to jam and cherries in liqueur, sweet aromas of spices and herbs roasted. Presents a slightly mineral tinge, aromas of rosemary and scrub is completed.
Remelluri is an idyllic farm located in the surroundings of Labastida, La Rioja Alavesa. It has a hundred hectares of their own vineyard, where the Rodríguez Hermandorea family has perfectly recreated a vineyard in the style of the "château" from Bordeaux. Telmo Rodríguez, faithful to the oenological roots of the region, and restless and innovative in the most modern winemaking techniques, has boosted one of the most prestigious wineries in the region in the recent years, with splendid wines that transmit the personality of the terroir and the personal seal of the Remelluri house.
