About Régnard Petit Chablis
Régnard Petit Chablis is a monovarietal chardonnay from the Appellation Petit Chablis Contrôlée produced by Maison Régnard.
Maison Régnard is one of the oldest wineries in Chablis. It was founded in 1860 and is one of the few that continues to operate in the centre of the town of Chablis. In 1984 it was acquired by Baron Patrick Ladoucette.
The grapes for Régnard Petit Chablis come from vineyards that are some 25 years old, planted in limestone soils from the late Jurassic period. They are vinified by performing alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. In the case of whites, the malolactic fermentation is performed in order to deacidify the wine a little and give it more complexity with light lactic touches.
Régnard Petit Chablis is an intense, aromatic and unctuous chardonnay from Chablis, in the northernmost part of Burgundy.
2020 | Régnard Petit Chablis 2020 is a robust white wine. Olfactorily, it is commanding, exuding scents of exotic fruits, rosemary, and white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, it is velvety and vibrant, adorned with mineral undertones and citrusy hints (lemon). It concludes with a protracted finish. |

2017 | Régnard Petit Chablis 2017 is an intense and aromatic wine, with hints of exotic fruit and white stone fruit. It also offers lactic touches with a hint of rosemary and other wild plants. On the palate it is unctuous, fresh, savoury and fruity. The fruit perceived in the nose reappears for us, together with added citrus and peppermint touches. It is a dry and lingering wine. |
