La Felisa is a red wine made by Bodegas Emilio Moro in Pesquera de Duero (Valladolid), D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The history of Bodegas Emilio Moro is that of a family which has been dedicated to wine for more than half a century, where the first generation devoted its efforts to the land, the second taught the third generation the know-how, and the latter has built up a brand that has become an international benchmark.
They currently own 200 hectares of vineyards, all grafted with the purest Tinto Fino clone. The oldest of these, located in the Valderramiro estate, in the heart of Ribera del Duero, date from 1924.
Harvest after harvest, Emilio Moro has discovered its own precise identity in the production of the traditional reds of Ribera del Duero, with a modern touch.
La Felisa is a red wine made with Tinto Fino grapes from their own vineyards, between 15 and 25 years of age, worked organically and located at an altitude of 900 meters on loamy clay soils.
After harvesting by hand, the wine is fermented at a controlled temperature, macerating with the skins for 18 days. After aging for 12 months in used French oak barrels, it is bottled without added sulfites.
Harvest after harvest, Emilio Moro has found his own and precise identity in the production of the traditional reds of Ribera del Duero, with a modern touch. These wines are full of colour, highly expressive, virile and eager to live. They rely on the caste and nobility of the family clone Tinto Fino, the strength of the terroir, the selection of wood and a well-interpreted modern oenology. The younger red wines have a good body, without lacking in flavour and balance. The game between time and wood suggests more complex wines, more penetrating, and at the same time more velvety. This is particularly portrayed in their single-vineyard wines.
