Emilio Moro is a family winery that continues to produce wines in a traditional way, taking advantage of the knowledge passed on from generation to generation since its foundation more than 70 years ago.
They currently have more than 200 hectares of vineyards, all of them worked sustainably and with the utmost respect for the terroir and its landscape; putting technology at the service of quality here in the vineyard and in the winery in all its processes, In this way Emilio Moro has managed to find a precise identity of its own in the way it produces the traditional reds of the Ribera del Duero, in a modern and up-to-date style.

Emilio Moro is prepared from vineyards that are between 15 and 25 years old. It combines the essence of the three types of soils in Ribera del Duero, thereby giving the wine a wide variety of subtle variations. It is made with 100% Tinto Fino grapes, macerated for 15 days with the skins. It is then aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels until bottled.

Emilio Moro reflects a wide variety of taste sensations that are revealed on the palate in an intense, amiable and appetizing way. On the nose, its richness and variety of aromas stands out, such as toast, wood, black fruit or vanilla.

Tasting notes Emilio Moro

Emilio Moro 2016 is one of the reference wines of the modern Ribera de Duero. The flagship of the winery brings out the virtues of this type of wine, black fruit on a spicy background provided by the barrel that brings the necessary complexity to this concentrated wine.

Entry is potent and tasty. Balanced and with volume, silky and very creamy. Good acidity and well integrated tannins. Persistent finish.

Intense cherry red upper middle layer. Clean and bright.

Good aromatic intensity. Red fruit aromas with lactic and spicy touches. Notes of cocoa and vanilla.

In the mouth, this red wine is intense and very tasty. It shows a good structure and is silky on the palate with a high concentration of fruit, full of creaminess and toasted hints. Very good acidity and fleshy and ripe tannins. Long and persistent finish. A powerful wine with character, very recommendable.

Beautiful and intense cherry red colour with violet edges. High robe, very covered. Clean and very bright. Fine and elegant slightly tinted tears show on the glass.

Good intensity, clean and fragrant. Aromas of fresh red fruit prevail mixed with lactic and spicy touches. Once opened out, more fruit appears, this time more ripe, more expressive and mainly black, along with some toasted notes. The lactic and spicy aromas grow in intensity, with nuances of cocoa, vanilla and cinnamon appearing along with roasted notes.

Very elegant, intense and very tasty wine. It is very well structured and has a velvety mid palate full of cream, fruit and toasted aromas. It shows a very good acidity, integrated tannins and a great finish. A very nice wine.

Sweet and very nice aromas with a large presence of fresh fruit mixed with hints of milk and spices. When it opens up, riper and more expressive notes of fruit appears along with elegant roasted and milky notes and the spices gain in intensity.
