J.J. Confuron Côte de Nuits Les Vignottes is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine made by Domaine J.J. Confuron in the A.O.C. Côte de Nuits-Village/Côte d’Or, in Burgundy, France.
The J.J. Confuron Côte de Nuits Les Vignottes wine is made from selected clusters. When the grapes reach the winery, they are destemmed, macerated and fermented, having been only lightly pressed, in cement tanks with controlled temperatures and retaining CO2 to maintain the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The resulting wine rests with its lees until it is transferred to oak barrels to age for 15 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.
J.J. Confuron is a renowned Domaine which is now managed by Sophie Confuron and her husband Alain Meunier. They inherited the winery following the death of Jean-Jacques Confuron, the winery’s founder and Sophie’s father, and have continued the tradition of making wines under the highest quality standards. To these values they have added the use of new technologies and the principles of organic agriculture, which has resulted in wines that are a true portrait of the landscape, expressing the Pinot Noir variety naturally and elegantly.
