D.O.Ca. Rioja (La Rioja)
Viña Zorzal Tempranillo is a red wine produced by Bodegas Zorzal in Corella, D.O. Navarra.
Bodegas Zorzal was founded in 1989 with the purpose of rescuing the indigenous varieties of the area, with the philosophy that wine is born in the vineyard.
Currently, they own 40 hectares located near the municipality of Fitero. Here, the soft relief forms a small oasis between all the vineyards of the lower bank of the Ebro river, giving them extra freshness. 25 of these hectares are planted with Grenache. The rest are planted with Graciano and Tempranillo, with white varieties like the White Grenache.
Viña Zorzal Tempranillo is a wine made from 100% Tempranillo, from a vineyard located in the municipality of Fitero, with a production of less than 4000 kg/hectare. After the harvest, grapes go through cold pre-fermentation maceration. They ferment with local yeasts in stainless steel deposits with a slight extraction.
