Viña Zorzal Graciano is a red wine from
D.O Navarra produced by
Bodegas Zorzal in
Corella, Navarra. It was founded in 1989 with the aim of rescuing the indigenous varieties of the area, and with the philosophy that wine originates in the vineyard.
Strains of over 30 years old from the estate located in the municipality of Ombatillo (Corella). The grapes are harvested by hand into small boxes.
A light pre-fermentation maceration is performed at 8ºC to extract the aromatic potential. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 22-24ºC, and maceration with the skins for 8 days with gentle pumping over. 25% undergo malolactic fermentation in new fine-grained French barrels and the rest in stainless steel vats. The wine is subsequently aged for 4 months with its lees in French oak barrels.
Viña Zorzal Graciano is an example of how the
Graciano variety adapts very well to hot climates, producing a wine with a good sensation of freshness due to the acidity it preserves.
