Perelada Stars Touch of Rosé Brut
is a rosé cava from the Cava region produced by Castillo de Perelada. It is a blend of 2 grape varieties: Grenache (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%).
The grapes used for Perelada Stars Touch of Rosé Brut
come from various vineyards cultivated around the Cava region. After the harvest has been carried out, the grapes are transported quickly to the winery to ensure that they do not break of lose their characteristics.
At the winery, the best fraction of the grapes are selected, those that have reached peak ripeness and present a strong varietal character.
The obtained free-run juice then undergoes controlled fermentation. A second fermentation then takes place in the bottle following conventional methods. Stars Touch of Rosé Brut ages for one year before the disgorging process and being placed onto the market.
Castillo de Perelada has been organising an important music festival since 1987. This cava pays hommage to all the artists who have participated, are participating, and will participate. Artists who shine like the stars that you will see light up the sky of Empordà.
Perelada Stars Touch of Rosé Brut 2020 is a dry sparkling wine (with less than 12 g/L of sugar). In appearance, it has a pale pink color, clear and bright, with a string of very fine bubbles forming a crown. On the nose, it is expansive and highly aromatic, persistent and elegant, with floral and fruity notes. On the palate, it maintains this character, with a smooth and silky texture. Well-balanced.
Historically, the great economic engine of D.O. Empordà has been and still is Perelada. Many other wineries have looked up to them. Although it produces a wide range of wines, from the more linear and competitive ones to the those that are more exclusive, such as Finca Garbet, the Finca Malaveïna or the Ex Ex collection, among others, it also offers wines made with native varieties, such as the Red and White Grenache, Samsó, etc. However, more than the numerical weight of the wine variety, we must point out the effort made by this winery to halt the progressive decline suffered by the area's image, as a land of bulk wines, where the few bottled wines were oxidised, and others were not too marketable. It is safe to say that Perelada lead the way and marked the new path of the Empordà wines.
