Saint Etienne Les Albizzias is an organic red wine made by Domaine Saint Etienne with the Syrah, Garnacha Tinta, Mourvèdre and Cariñena varieties in the French denomination AOC Côtes du Rhône, in the Rhône.
Owned by Michel Chapoutier since 2017, the Domaine Saint Etienne winery is located between Avignon and Nimes, one of the most prestigious wine regions in France. These are extraordinary terroirs that are sustainably cultivated to preserve the diversity of the soils and to be able to faithfully express them in the wine. The results of this work are complex, fine and very elegant wines.
Saint Etienne Les Albizzias comes from plots located in the town of Montfrin. The soils are composed of red clays and laminated siliceous stones and have been cultivated ecologically and certified since 2013. Once the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested early in the morning to maintain the maximum freshness.
In the winery, the Saint Etienne Les Albizzias grapes are completely destemmed and then vinified in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts for 5 to 7 weeks. Finally the wine ages in these same stainless steel tanks for 7-10 months.
Saint Etienne Les Albizzias is a wine that exudes elegance and complexity. A magnificent introduction to the wines of the Côtes-du-Rhône.
