About Recaredo Intens Brut Nature Rosat

Recaredo Intens Rosat embodies the chromatic intensity achieved by grapes in the Mediterranean region. A focus on authenticity yields a sparkling wine that is dry, lively and enticing, defining an essentially gastronomical style.

It is a Brut Nature Rosé long-aging wine made from two plot of the Recaredo family in the Penedès region. Recaredo Intens has been cultivated according to the principles of certified organic, biodynamic agriculture.

Recaredo, with a history of almost a century, is located in Sant Sadurní d`Anoia (Barcelona). Its wines are essentially gastronomic, with a style defined by the elegance and subtlety that has captivated wine and gourmet critics: from The New York Times, to the prestigious La Revue de Vin de France, Le Monde or the influential magazines Forbes or The Wine Advocate by Robert Parker.

The Recaredo family works only with their own dry-farmed vineyards, with a strong commitment to preserve biodiversity and balance in the ecosystem that has led them to be pioneers in biodynamic certification, a step beyond organics.

Another of its principles is to make only Brut Nature long-aged Sparkling wines, that is, without any dossage or added sugar in the bottling process. All Recaredo sparkling wines are made by traditional method. 
Recaredo is working exclusively with historical varieties of the Penedès since 2014. In the case of Intens, the coupage consists of the Monastrell and Garnatxa varieties, which are always hand-harvested, making a strict quality control of the bunches int the vineyard.

The colour of the wine is obtained by macerating the must with the red grape skins for some hours. To enhance structure and elegance, part of the blend consists of wines that have been lightly aged in oak casks. Secondary fermentation and bottle ageing are done exclusively with natural cork stoppers, a sustainable, recyclable material from nature, ideal for retaining the original sense of Recaredo’s long-aged wines.

Remuage (riddling) is done by hand on traditional racks and disgorging (the art of expelling the lees from the second bottle fermentation that then leaves the wine perfectly clear) is done manually without freezing the bottle neck by skilled masters – an artisanal, environmentally friendly process.

2018

Recaredo Intens Rosat 2018 is a mature, high-quality sparkling wine redolent with scents of ripe pink fruits, herbaceous undertones, and hints of spice and balsamic. On the palate, it is expansive, flavoursome, and harmonious. A Corpinnat boasting delicate and well-integrated bubbles, with a fresh and enticingly sweet progression. The finish is extensive and enduring.
2011 The carbonic elements are well integrated, strong presence of red fruit. Good acidity and perseverance. Wide and moreish. Good long finish.

Pink colour with presence of fine bubbles.

Aromas of mature red fruit together with touches of spice. Tones of balsamic that bring a certain freshness and light fragrant floral and toasted notes.
2008 A very elegant rosé cava with very expressive notes of spicy and creamy but not very sweety fruit. It shows a dry and fresh mid palate, with a well-integrated fizziness and an excellent acidity. Its good finish shows a good and nice persistence.  A cava with its own personality, to be enjoyed in relaxed moments.

Intense pink colour with subtle salmon colour reflections. Thin and abundant bubbles.

The notes of rather ripe red fruit dominate the nose. From the beginning they are released along with fine spices. Little by little, very tasty notes of bakery appear on its good balsamic herbal background.
2007 It is a very dry rosé cava. With good expression, we found lot of sour red fruit with a touch creamy smooth and vinous. Very good acidity. Long finish.

Cherry salmon colored touches. Continuous fine bubbles and forms a good rosary.

The nose has a good expression of fruit without coming to a great intensity. Lots of red fruit with some floral and herbaceous.
