An idea factory is a physical space where people come together to collaborate, exchange ideas and develop creative projects. The main objective is to foster innovation and find original solutions to problems or challenges in a collaborative way. Piero Cella, oenologist and winemaker in Arborea (Sardinia) and one of the pioneers in improving the quality of Sardinian wine, set up a project under the name Quartomoro di Sardegna, which is a factory of ideas and experiences on Sardinian viticulture and oenology. It is here that, through professional and social relationships, authentic Sardinian wines are created.
This is how Quartomoro Cannonau di Sardegna Caòr di Sardegna was born. A red wine made from Cannonau and other local red varieties grown in vineyards rooted in sandy and granite soils and cultivated in a traditional way, trying to work with the minimum possible intervention and respecting the natural processes. In the winery, the grapes are selected, destemmed and crushed to begin fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with a 7-day maceration in contact with the skins and some manual cap plunges. Finally, the wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and fourth-use barrels before bottling and releasing for sale.
As a project that brings together lives, experiences and cultures, their Quartomoro Cannonau di Sardegna Caòr di Sardegna wine reflects the heart of Sardinian viticulture. A classic red wine from the island, that is smooth, harmonious and enveloping, made with respect and minimal intervention in mind.
Cannonau "Caòr" de Quartomoro 2021 is a smooth red wine with aromas of ripe red fruit accompanied by aromatic herbs and spicy hints. On the palate it is harmonious, pleasant and well structured. An enveloping wine with fine tannins, well-integrated acidity and a persistent finish.
