Pere Mata Reserva Familia is a cava from Cava made by the Mata i Coloma winery. This winery is located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona), a region known for its great cavas.

Pere Mata Reserva Familia is a blend of Macabeo (50%), Xarel.lo (30%) i Parellada (20%), plus 25% other varieties. The grapes come from the winery's own vineyards located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.

For the preparation of Pere Mata Reserva Familia a double fermentation takes place. The first is for 15-20 days and is conducted at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C. The second fermentation is much longer, lasting between 60 and 70 days at 13-16ºC.

After, the cava ages on its lees for 48 months.

Tasting notes Pere Mata Reserva Familia

Soft and pleasant entrance. Very citrusy and wide. Citric step. Short aftertaste.

Pale yellow. Clean and bright.

Medium to high intensity with citrus, floral and toasty notes.
The entrance on the palate is very pleasant with flavours of bitter orange, biscuit and a nice minerality.

Deep straw colour.

Very clean and complex on the nose with mineral notes, bakery, citrus and floral aromas.
