Pazo Barrantes La Comtesse is a white wine crafted by the winery Pazo de Barrantes in Barrantes (Pontevedra), DO Rías Baixas.

The estate Pazo de Barrantes is situated in the heart of the Valle del Salnés, featuring a winery at its centre that bears its name, epitomising the authentic architectural style of the pazo, a 16th-century Galician palace. Twelve hectares of albariño vineyards of the highest quality are planted on sandy, shallow, and slightly acidic soils. With a clear objective, the production of an albariño worthy of a prominent place among Spain's finest wines.

The winery Pazo de Barrantes is owned by the Murrieta family, who also own the Marqués de Murrieta winery. The wine offerings of these two combined create one of the most appealing selections in the Spanish wine scene.

Pazo Barrantes La Comtesse is crafted from Albariño sourced from a 12-hectare vineyard of old vines, Pago Cacheiro, located on sandy and shallow soils.

The harvest is conducted manually in 20 kg boxes. Once at the winery, the grapes are destemmed before entering the press. Here, through gentle pressing, the must is extracted, which, after settling, will ferment in 3000-litre French Allier oak vats with fine grain for 60 days at a controlled temperature of 10°C. It remains here for 12 months, of which 6 months are spent on its lees, followed by another 13 months in concrete tanks.
