About Marqués de Cáceres Crianza
There are certain things that, despite the passage of time, never go out of style. Marqués de Cáceres Crianza from the D.O.Ca. Rioja is undoubtedly one of those timeless classics that continues to captivate palates across generations.
Why does it remain a best-seller after so many years? The answer is straightforward: because its essence remains unchanged. This wine has consistently adhered to its quality and character, earning the affection of those who seek a wine with personality and timeless elegance. Although it does not jump on the bandwagon of trends or conform to the latest fashions, Marqués de Cáceres Crianza continues to prove that what truly matters is authenticity and consistency.
Crafted by Marqués de Cáceres, a winery with over 50 years of history, Marqués de Cáceres Crianza is a blend of tempranillo, graciano, and garnacha tinta, sourced from vineyards over 20 years old, located in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The region's climate, moderately continental in Rioja Alta and Mediterranean in Rioja Alavesa, is ideal for imparting the wine with the complexity and smoothness that are its hallmarks. The winemaking process is meticulous: after grape selection, the woody parts are removed to avoid herbaceous flavours. The must is placed in stainless steel tanks, where fermentation occurs at 25°C. During this process, pump-overs are performed to extract the grape skins and achieve greater intensity of colour and flavour. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation takes place, which softens the acidity and transforms its organoleptic profile. Finally, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (50%) and American oak barrels (50%), and for an additional 10 to 12 months in the bottle, which imparts that touch of sophistication and roundness that defines it.
In a world filled with novelties and fleeting trends, the classic has its own allure, and what endures is what truly matters. Marqués de Cáceres Crianza is, without a doubt, a wine that continues to demonstrate that quality never goes out of style.
