La Bruja de Rozas is a red wine made in Madrid by Comando G. Comando G. is a young winery with the idea of producing wines from old Grenache. Hence the name G. G for Grenache.

La Bruja de Rozas is a single variety Grenache. The grapes are produced in three small vineyards aging from 50 to 90 years old, the soil is mainly granite planted at an altitude of 800-900 meters above sea level. This altitude enables a balanced ripening and very fresh wines. Comando G farms following biodynamic principals, completely respecting the environment. The grapes that are produced from each vineyard are fermented separately with local yeast from the vineyards.
La Bruja de Rozas undergoes an aging for 7 months in 500 litre French wooden vats.

A fresh Grenache with a lot of character.

La Bruja de Rozas 2018 is a red wine that offers citrus aromas of orange peel accompanied by red fruits on the nose and a subtle lactic and mineral note. On the palate it is smooth and elegant. A very fresh, delicate and versatile wine.

La Bruja de Rozas 2017 is a somewhat liqueur-like wine with floral touches and those of red fruit. On the palate it is light, fresh and somewhat herbaceous. An easy and pleasant wine that pairs well with many Mediterranean dishes but can even be drunk as an aperitif or in the afternoon.

For many, Comando G will sound like the name of a cartoons series that was broadcast on Spanish television in the late seventies and early eighties. But in the wine world, Comando G has a very precise interpretation: "G" for Grenache and "G" for Gredos. A project that began thanks to the passion of three young wine enthusiasts whose goal was to produce the best Grenache wine. And they managed to surprise everyone with wines of a marked personality, traditional and modern at the same time, with slight colour, hardly any wood, good acidity. With a fluid texture but persistent, fine tannins, tasty and elegant. Their idea is to make quality wines that reflect the area, the soils, the vintage and the variety.
