Jaboulet Côtes-du-Rhône Parallèle 2020
AOC Côtes du Rhône
(Rhone)
Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle is a red wine made by Domaine Paul Jaboulet Ainé in the AOC Hermitage, in the Rhône area (France) using the Syrah red variety.
Founded by the Jaboulet family in 1834, Domaine Paul Jaboulet Ainé is now owned by the Frey family. This winery works a hundred hectares in different denominations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Perray, San José and Condrieu. They currently produce four different wine ranges including the Icônes, the Domaines, the vins de Vignerons and the Incontournables.
The Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle wine comes from vineyards on the Hermitage hill, in the Rhone Valley. Under the leadership of Caroline Frey, the vineyards have been cultivated using Sustainable Agriculture and biodynamic treatments since 2006. The work is completely manual with the help of a horse and the yields are carefully limited.
Once the grapes have been sorted by hand in the vineyard itself, they are taken to the winery in small boxes. Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle is vinified for 4 weeks with gentle extractions. Finally, the wine ages in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
Named after the little hermit chapel built in 1235 on the Hermitage hill, Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle is a fruity and attractive young wine that becomes complex and full of nuances with age.
