El Regalo Viñedo Singular is a red wine from the appellation of origin La Rioja produced by the winery Izado. This wine is a blend of the varieties Tempranillo (90%), Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo (10%).
The grapes for El Regalo Viñedo Singular originate from vines that have reached 35 years of age and located in the towns of Villabuena, Sanmaniego and Ábalos. The vines grow in clay-calcareous soils.
All the cultivation process follow methods of integrated viticulture.
The harvest is completed manually during the second and third week of October and the grapes are transported to the winery in containers that can hold up to 15 kg.
Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. The must is fermented and El Regalo Viñedo Singular is produced in stainless steel containers.
El Regalo Viñedo Singular receives a malolactic fermentation process in new barrels and in the stainless steel containers with the same measurements, before resting for 20 months in French and America fine grain oak barrels.
The winery was founded in 1987 by a group of friends and entrepreneurs, located in Villabuena, in Rioja Alavesa.
