Honoro Vera Organic is an ecological red wine made by the Juan Gil Bodegas in Jumilla.
Bodegas Juan Gil belongs to the Grupo Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares, who also own the Ateca winery and make Honoro Vera. There is a Monastrell varietal derived exclusively from organically farmed vineyards planted on limestone soils with a low yield. They have a continental climate with Mediterranean influences. A dry and arid climate with very little rainfall. Winters are cold, reaching temperatures below 0, in contrast to the hot summers with temperatures reaching 40 degrees. The poor yield gives the grape a high quality.
Fermentation occurs for 15 days in stainless steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 25 ° C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks, where it remains refrigerated until bottling.
Very good entrance in the mouth. Balanced, fresh and very fruity.
Bodegas Juan Gil is the originator of the group Juan Gil Bodegas Familiares (Gil Family Estates), which gives its name to a reduced group of small wineries scattered throughout the Spanish geography. These wineries have been incorporated into the family since 2002, with the common denominator of using native varieties, in addition to offering a cared-for image, and an unbeatable value for money within the niche where each of their projects is located. Juan Gil is a clear bet for an area of great oenological interest, Jumilla, conceived under the philosophy of empowering the identity of the terroir, as well as the personality and the quality of the native variety, Monastrell.
