Characteristics Gramona La Cuvée Brut

Gramona La Cuvée Brut is a sparkling wine from the Corpinnat produced by the renowned Gramona winery. This bubbly is a blend of two different grape varieties: Xarel.lo  and Macabeo, two of the most prominent grape varieties in the region.

This sparkling wine has a fresh and pleasant character. It rests for 40 months in the bottle with its lees and is very versatile, although ideal to consume while enjoying a good aperitif, and will be a nice surprise for inquisitive palates.

Gramona is without any doubt one of the most renowned sparkling wine producers, although they also produce white wines with great personalities. The winery dates back to 1850, when the outbreak of phylloxera in France forced winemakers and growers to cross to the Pyrenees. Gramona is located in the historical municipality of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and is home to over 150 hectares of vineyards.

Tasting notes Gramona La Cuvée Brut

Gramona La Cuvee Brut 2018 is a mature sparkling wine with intense aromas of stone fruits accompanied by citrus notes and hints of pastry, nuts and spices. On the palate it is dry, pleasant and well-structured. A medium-bodied corpinnat with crisp acidity, fine and well-integrated bubbles and a long and round finish.

Gramona La Cuvee Brut 2016 is a sparkling wine with fruity aromas of Golden apples, peaches and apricots on the nose, accompanied by subtle notes of flowers and dried fruit that are typical of the aging process. On the palate it is pleasant with a crisp carbonic and with the hints of apples, citrus and almonds returning. A sparkling wine with a long and very refreshing finish.

Gramona La Cuvee Reserva Brut 2014 is a light, fresh and pleasant cava. Yet another vintage that discovers the perfect balance between the notes of ripe white fruit, a bubble that is present but refined and an oiliness without losing freshness on the palate.
