About Fulcro 'O Equilibrio' Albarino

Fulcro is a white wine made in the D.O. Rias Baixas by Bodegas Fulcro in the Salnés sub-region, specifically in the town of Sanxenxo, Pontevedra.

Manuel Moldes is the figure behind the Fulcro winery. The vineyard lies in the Salnés sub-region and faces the sea, on granite sandy soils. Manuel’s philosophy of respecting the grape and the environment as much as possible has led him to organic viticulture and using very little technology in the winery.

Fulcrum is made with grapes from a single Albariño plot that ferment in 500- and 700-litre used barrels.  It is aged for 12 months in the same barrels without undergoing malolactic fermentation.

On the palate, its lightness is married with a zesty acidity, delivering a velvety texture and a lingering finish that captures the quintessential purity of the Albariño grape. A wine that is celebrated for its harmony and innate freshness.
2018 Fulcro 2018 is a white wine with aromas of white fruit, citrus notes and salty touches. On the palate it is vertical, crisp and unctuous. A wine with well-balanced acidity and wood and significant minerality.
2017 Fulcro 2017 is a balanced, complex wine with a lot of character. This vintage reflects a good balance between the ageing and the acidity of the area. Aromas of white fruit with citrus notes on the nose. In the mouth, it is easy to drink, with a certain volume and very fresh.
