Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Like Obelix, a kind and good-natured boy who as a child ended up in a magic potion, Francois Crochet must have fallen into a vat of Sancerre in his village of Bué. Although his studies and travels around the world have helped him a lot, his skills for making these legendary wines of the Loire Valley are innate. Son of a vigneron, in 1998 he took over the estate and with his wife Carine reinvented a Sancerre in his own style. Unfortunately it was so successful there was not enough to meet the demand. Their artisan productions are so limited that it is a real find if you come across one of these wines.

Their Francois Crochet Le Petit Chemarin comes from one of the best Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in the AOC Sancerre. Certified organic since 2014, they work with organic and biodynamic practices and the harvest is carried out manually quite early. In the winery, the grapes are gently pressed and spontaneous fermentation begins with native yeasts at a controlled temperature (14-18ºC). The wine is then aged on its lees for 12 to 18 months before being released onto the market.

In the glass Francois Crochet Le Petit Chemarin is always elegant. This wine, with the same innate strength as Asterix, will certainly go far. Pure revitalising energy for 5 to 10 years.
