About De Fermo Concrete Rosso
Not everyone believes in destiny, yet upon learning the story of Stefano, it seems his path in the world of wine was destined from the outset. At just 12 years old, he voraciously consumed the wine reviews in his mother's culinary magazines, and as soon as he came of age, he began purchasing every bottle he could. It appeared to be a natural calling. However, the life of Stefano Papetti Ceroni did not follow such a predictable course: although he was passionate about wine, his professional career began in the legal realm, as a lawyer in Bologna. Fate, however, had other plans. At university, Stefano met Eloisa De Fermo, and it was love at first sight. In 2007, driven by this connection and their shared love for wine, they both decided to leave behind their legal careers and dedicate themselves to viticulture at Eloisa's family estate in Loreto Aprutino, a charming village in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Thus, what began as a passion transformed into a lifelong project, and what seemed merely an adolescent dream came to life in a winery with deep and authentic roots.
The result is genuine, unique wines with character, such as De Fermo Concrete Rosso, a monovarietal of montepulciano from vines planted on a limestone and clay terroir at 320 metres above sea level, cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture. In the winery, the carefully selected and gently pressed whole-cluster grapes ferment with native yeasts in concrete tanks, where the wine remains for 8 months before being bottled.
Nimble, mineral, and fluid, De Fermo Concrete Rosso captures the essence of the Abruzzo terroir and the dedication of Stefano and Eloisa. A tribute to the land, to local traditions, and to the passion of those who have chosen to follow their dreams, in harmony with the cycle of nature.
