Costumbres Tinto is a red wine from Rioja produced by the Vinos en Voz Baja winery in Aldeanueva de Ebro, La Rioja.
It is a project by Carlos Mazo and Isabel Ruiz, who are residents of the area in which they grow the vineyards in an environmentally-friendly way. La Garnacha is the main variety in the vineyard which is perfectly adapted to the dry Mediterranean climate of La Rioja Baja.
The vines used to produce Costumbres Tinto come from various towns like Aldea de Ebro, Alfaro and Corella. They are harvested by hand in 16kg boxes and the grapes are selected in the winery. Fermentation is carried out in open barrels and the head is submerged so that there are no halts in fermentation. In two weeks they are pressed and put into barrels.
