Arnot-Roberts Syrah Sonoma Coast is a wood-aged red wine made by Arnot-Roberts with the syrah variety in the AVA Sonoma Coast, in California (USA).
Arnot-Roberts is the project set up by Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts in 2001 in Northern California. For their work, they seek out the most special vineyards and demonstrate how foreign varieties like Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay are perfectly suited to the Pacific Ocean coast.
Arnot-Roberts Syrah Sonoma Coast comes from six different vineyards planted on clay, sand and shale soils. The vines are cultivated in a way that respects the environment, they ripen slowly and are harvested by hand.
The Arnot-Roberts Syrah Sonoma Coast grapes are spontaneously fermented with native yeasts and without destemming. The wine is then aged 50% in stainless steel tanks and the other 50% in used French oak barrels for 10 months.
Arnot-Roberts Syrah Sonoma Coast is the flagship of one of California’s cult wineries. A lovely Syrah with the finesse of a Pinot Noir.
