Arbossar is a red wine produced by the Terroir al Límit winery in Priorat.
Terroir at Límit is a small winery located in the small town of Torroja, which produces wines based on careful agriculture and character development.
Arbossar is a single-variety Carignan, made with grapes from old vines around 90 years old, and located in the highest areas of Priorat.
Vines are planted on hillsides with steep slopes, called costers in the Priorat, with slate soils. A little interventionist manner is applied in order to achieve maximum expression of terroir.
The grapes are destemmed and macerated cold before fermentation, which takes place in tanks of 800kg for 3 weeks.
Arbossar spends 24 months aging in French oak foudres. It is bottled by gravity, without fining or filtration.
Arbossar is a very expressive red wine from Priorat, with a very limited production.
