Altos Ibéricos Crianza is a red wine from Rioja produced by Torres, a winery that was founded by Mr. Jaime Torres Vendrell. The word "Iberian" refers to Spanish culture, cuisine and geography. That is the reason that the label shows an old Spanish oak with fruit.
The climate in the Rioja Alavesa is Mediterranean with a strong influence from the Cantabrian Sea, although it is protected by the Sierra de Cantabria, which acts as a natural barrier. This wine is a varietal Tempranillo (100%) from vineyards in La Rioja Alavesa, in Labastida. Regarding the development process, maceration is carried out for 18 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, fermentation is performed at a temperature of between 26-28 ° C for one week. Altos Ibéricos Crianza is aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels before spending 6 months in the bottle.
The palate is silky, pleasant and velvety. Soft and gentle tannins. Long finish with spicy memories.
Cherry red colour.
The nose shows intense aromas of ripe black fruit with white flowers and red fruits. Spices and toasted notes from the barrel appear.
Bodegas Torres is a family business of several generations dedicated to the production of wine and brandy in the Penedés, and they now have an extensive range of products which are exported to more than 140 countries worldwide.
