About Viñas de Anna Chardonnay

Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is a white wine from D.O. Catalunya produced by Codorniu.

 

Codorníu was the name of a family of winegrowers, whose tradition can be tracked back to the 16th century. In 1872, the Codorníu family partnered with the Raventós family. Together, they started to make cava in Penedés with the foundation of the winery Codorníu in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Barcelona). 

Codorníu is one of the leading wineries in D.O. Cava. A large company that produces a great amount of bottles, without neglecting the quality that they have had since their foundation.

 

Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is a wine made from Chardonnay from different pots with a wide diversity of soils.

The harvest takes place at night to avoid the oxidation of the grapes and preserve all their qualities. Once the harvest arrives at the winery, and after a soft pressing, it ferments in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature, 16ºC-18ºC. After the fermentation ends, the wine rests for a few months in stainless steel deposits before it is bottled.

 

Viñas de Anna Chardonnay is a fruity, light and fresh wine. Friendly on the nose, sweet and lively in the mouth. Ideal paired with light dishes or on its own.
