From Arbo, a quaint village nestled in the Galician Condado de Tea (in northwest Spain), this winemaker (renowned for his contributions to other wineries such as Morgadío and Lusco) pours his heart and soul into his latest venture, the Compañía de Vinos Tricó. In this new chapter of his career—the most personal to date—José Antonio leans on his family support, crafting age-worthy Albariños that challenge the ravages of time, like Compañía de Vinos Tricó Tricó Albariño. Labels featuring his mother's illustrations, or wines named after his grandchildren (Claudia and Nicolás), are part of the journey each bottle takes through the family's history.
 
Boasting an exceptionally exclusive portfolio of just three wines, Compañía de Vinos Tricó Tricó Albariño stands as one of the most distinguished Albariños you can encounter. And it's not just the limited production that sets it apart, but also its quality, with José Antonio and his team consistently striving for the most natural product possible. The five hectares this team cultivates between Pontevedra and Portugal demand meticulous management: organic fertilizers, green cover crops, and minimal intervention are key in this winery.
 
This principle of minimal handling extends to the winery, where the grapes of Compañía de Vinos Tricó Tricó Albariño go directly into a pneumatic press to extract the juice. During this stage, very gentle pressures are applied to obtain the finest and cleanest must. Over the course of a day, Compañía de Vinos Tricó Tricó Albariño will settle and clarify, readying for alcoholic fermentation.
 
Finally, the time Compañía de Vinos Tricó Tricó Albariño spends maturing is crucial, with nearly a year and a half in stainless steel tanks and another year and a half in the bottle. 2012 Flavoursome and fresh. Creamy and unctuous, presence of white fruit with mineral undertones. Well-structured and balanced. Long finish.

Straw yellow with greenish hues.

Large combinations of aromas, white and citrus fruit harmonised with an abundance of floral and mineral notes.
