Trénel Pouilly Vinzelles Les Quarts 2018
AOC Pouilly-Vinzelles
(Burgundy)
Trénel Pouilly-Fuissé is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine produced by the Trénel winery in the AOC Pouilly-Fuissé in Burgundy, France.
Trénel Pouilly-Fuissé is made with grapes from vines aged 45 to 60 years old and growing in plots located between the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson with predominantly stony and limestone marl soils. The Pouilly-Fuissé denomination is located south of Mâconnais, a place that has a very varied climate.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and in new and old barrels. The Trénel Pouilly-Fuissé wine is made with limited use of wood so that it does not interfere with the expressiveness of the wine and can be a better reflection of the terroir it comes from.
La Maison Trénel is a century-old family winery that produces wines with the Gamay and Chardonnay varieties in Burgundy and Beaujolais. They also make fruit liqueurs following the Burgundy tradition. For as long as the winery has been going, they have cultivated lasting working relationships and friendships with the region’s best vine growers who have contributed to achieving the quintessence of local varieties.
