The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky

Whisky escocés (70 cl.). Blended Scotch Whisky.
About The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky
The Famous Grouse is a blended Scottish whiskey produced by Matthew Gloag & Son. This whiskey is the result of the blend of various single malt whiskeys, including The Glenrothers, Macallan and Higlnad Park. The secret of The Famous Grouse is the high quality of the grains from which the base liquids come from. This explains the great prestige of the whiskey amongst lovers of the drink.
The Famous Grouse has been indisputable market leader for years, exporting since 1980 across the globe and currently selling over two million bottles per year. Founded in 1896 by Matthew Gloag, although its origins trace back to his grandfather, although called Matthew, a seller of wine and whisky, when it was sold under the name The Grouse Brand. The company was so successful, that it seemed inevitable to name it The Famous Grouse.
This whiskey is easily recognised thanks to the famous red grouse that appears on the label. In Scotland it is easy to find the red grouse species, and is infact the national game bird.
The comapny is also known not just for their whiskeys, but also from their smart business strategies. Thus, The Famous Grouse has not hesitated in sponsoring various sports teams, including the Scottish rugby national team. Also The Famous Grouse chritmas add has become a tradition in the lead up to the holiday: with the unmistakable red grouse usually the funny protagonist.
The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky presents itself with an alluring deep golden hue, clear and radiant. On the nose, it unveils a delightful blend of candied fruits and butter biscuits, complemented by subtle notes of citrus peel that add freshness and balance. On the palate, it reveals a delectable mix of dried fruits and gentle spices such as cinnamon and ginger. These nuances are harmonised with a delicate touch of oak, imparting depth and roundness. A whisky with a smooth and well-balanced finish, leaving a lasting and harmonious impression that entices one to continue savouring this iconic Scottish blend.
