About Stéphane Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Rouge
A winery known for its fantastic expressions of the Syrah and Garnacha varieties in the AOC Côtes du Rhône, Stéphane Ogier presents Stéphane Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Rouge, a cement-aged red wine that is celebrated by those who love the Rhône.
The Ogier family has been working on the Ampuis slopes in the Northern Rhône for 7 generations. The current generation, Stéphane Ogier, took over the family estate in 1997 and since then has taken the company into a new chapter, adding new techniques he learned in Burgundy to the traditional methods used by his father Michael. This results in wines with great finesse and complexity.
Stéphane Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Rouge comes from 7 hectares of vines planted in the Visan region of the Vaucluse. The vines are 40 years old on average and the soils are composed of limestone pebbles on blue clay. They are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture and the grapes are harvested by hand and sorted on the plot itself.
Stéphane Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Rouge is vinified by plot in thermoregulated concrete vats using native yeasts. After blending different wines depending on the characteristics of the vintage, the wine is aged for 10 months in concrete tanks.
From one of the most renowned producers in the Côte Rôtie, known for his complex and fine wines, Stéphane Ogier Le Temps Est Venu Rouge is an impeccable Rhone for an amazing price.
