About Salvetta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola
Salvetta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola is a wood-aged white wine produced by the Salvetta winery with the Nosiola variety in the IGT Vigneti Delle Dolomiti, in Trentino (Italy).
Azienda Agricola Salvetta is a family winery in the town of Sarche, on the edges of the Dolomites (northern Italy). A truly beautiful estate acquired by Dario Salvetta in the early 1930s to make the region’s famous sweet wine. He began a traditional work that his son Giancarlo and his grandson Francesco continue today.
Made with Nosiola, an ancient and unique white grape variety from Trentino, Salvetta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola comes from the Sarca valley with dry, limestone soils and with a unique microclimate with plenty of air. The vines are cultivated using ecological agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
In the winery, the Salvetta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola grapes are gently pressed and the skins are removed from the resulting must. These separate naturally. The wine then spends 9 months in acacia foudres followed by an aging process in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and then in the bottle for another 4 months.
The Salvetta family was the first to recognise the particular organoleptic characteristics of the Nosiola variety and Salvetta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola is proof of how well they understand it. A very structured, corpulent and saline organic wine.
