Príncipe de Viana Syrah

Príncipe de Viana Syrah is a red wine produced by Bodegas Príncipe de Viana in Murchante, D.O. Navarra.

Bodegas Príncipe de Viana is a winery that was founded in 1983. It takes its name from the title of nobility Príncipe de Viana, given to the heir of the throne of Navarra since 1423. This title represents tradition and renewal, values that the winery identifies with.

Bodegas Príncipe de Viana is located in an area that is ideal for the cultivation of vines. The climate is Mediterranean with a marked Atlantic influence, with soil profiles that vary from loamy to loamy-clayey-calcareous, deep and with excellent drainage, and poor in nutrients.  

Currently, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana along with Rioja Vega and other wineries, is part of Grupo Príncipe de Viana.

Príncipe de Viana Syrah is a red wine made with Syrah from old vineyards.

The harvest takes place at night. Once it arrives at the winery, the grapes are cooled to preserve all their aromatic components. Before the maceration and the fermentation, the best berries are selected on vibrating selection tables. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. Before it is bottled, the wine is aged for 3 months in oak barrels.
