Palacios Remondo La Vendimia is a red wine produced by Bodegas Palacios Remondo in the D.O Rioja.

The winery is located in the town of Alfaro (la Rioja Baja) and the technical director, Álvaros Palacios, is known for being the architect of the incredibly famous L'Ermita wine.

Palacios Remondo La Vendimia is a blend of the varieties Tempranillo and Garnacha Tinta. The grape originates from their very own vineyards planted in the Falda del monte Yerga at an altitude 550 meters above sea level. Soils are calcareous clay.

For its production, the grape is destemmed and receives a partial carbonic maceration, subsequently the must is fermented for 20 days in stainless steel containers with regular pump overs.

Tasting notes Palacios Remondo La Vendimia

Palacios Remondo La Vendimia 2019 is a juicy red wine with intense aromas of berries, hints of rose petals and herbal touches. On the palate it is light, fruity and sweet. A medium-bodied wine, with fine tannins, a digestive freshness and a long finish.

Palacios Remondo La Vendimia 2018 is a red wine with aromas of red and black fruits on the nose and subtle toasted notes from its brief aging. On the palate it is sweet and pleasant with expressive fruit. A rounded and meaty wine that is best enjoyed straight away, and should not be kept for more than three years.

Palacios Remondo La Vendimia 2017 is a fruity, linear and balanced red wine. In this vintage the aromas of fresh red fruit stand out, together with floral notes and subtle toastings from the short aging process. On the palate it is lively and dynamic, with a fresh and lingering finish.

Once finalised the fermentation of Palacios Remondo La Vendimia is aged for 5 months in wooden vats and French barrels.

Medium-high aromatic intensity with aromas of red fruit and mineral and herbal notes and a light toasted touch.

Full bodied and pleasant. Passing is tasty and very fruity. Good acidity and tannins are well integrated. Medium-long finish.

On the palate, Palacios Remondo La Vendimia, is a fresh wine, full of flavour and pleasant. Abundant in ripe fruit, spices and toasted notes with a fruity retronasal.

Red cherry colour with some violet reflections and a bright tear.

On the nose there is red fruit, minerality, roasted notes and some herbal notes of the undergrowth.

Young wine with a good intensity. The hints of red and black fruit provided by the carbonic maceration are dominant. It shows a fresh and fun attack, a light mid palate and a medium, very nice finish.

Clean and bright ruby red colour with maroon reflections.

Some nuances provided by the carbonic maceration appear first and give way to subtle notes of fruit and light spicy hints provided by the oak during the ageing.

Very fresh, tasty and easy-drinking wine. The juicy notes of fruit dominate the palate with hardly appreciated notes provided by the oak. It has a light touch of liquor and fine tannins. It is a very balanced wine with a good creamy and tasty finish. A very nice, rich, fresh and alive wine.

Beautiful light ruby â??â??red colour with purple reflections. Very bright.

Intense aromas among which the notes of red and some black fruits play the main role on a background of aromatic floral notes and spicy (clove, pepper and some sweet spices).

In the mouth this wine is very fresh, attractive and pleasant. Full of fresh and ripe fruit, even licorice with a touch of spice and toast. Tasty wine with a light but very tasty palate.
