About Murmurón

Murmurón is a young red wine from La Rioja produced by the Sierra Cantabria winery. This is a varietal Tempranillo, the most typical variety in the region.

The grapes are harvested by hand in early October so that the clusters do not break and begin fermentation prematurely.

They come from vineyards owned by the winery located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastid. The winemaking process is initiated by the carbonic maceration method by barrelling and fermenting whole bunches for a period of 11 days.

Murmurón undergoes a gentle daily pumping and is fermented at controlled temperatures between 21º and 23º with selected yeasts.

Sierra Cantabria wines are the result of generations dedicated to the vine and agriculture. The Eguren family's relationship with wine dates back to 1870 and today the 5th generation manage the winery.

2014 Elegant and fresh with body. Flavours of red berries and raspberry combined with memories of violets. Fruity aftertaste.

Cherry colour with purple accents. High layer, clean and bright.

Intense and complex. Floral aromas and fruity notes intermingle. Balanced and persistent.
