Menade Sauvignon Blanc is an organic Sauvignon Blancwhite wine produced by Bodegas Menade in the D.O. Rueda.
Bodegas Menade was founded in 2005, but the family that runs it has had six generations devoted to wine, specifically since 1820.
The vineyards for Menade Sauvignon Blanc are farmed organically. In addition, the bunches are thinned to reduce production and increase their quality. The harvest is performed manually during the day and is mechanised during the night.
The grapes for Menade Sauvignon Blanc are fermented at a controlled temperature of around 18 to 22 ºC in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, i.e. those that are already on the grape. After fermenting the wine remains on fine lees for a while to gain a little volume and is finally clarified, stabilised and filtered to eliminate impurities and prevent future precipitates.
Menade Sauvignon Blanc is a wine from a foreign variety well adapted to the climate and soils of Rueda.
Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product
The Menade winery has one thing certain: you have to give back to nature what man has taken from it. They cultivate the Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc varieties working in harmony with the environment, making use of the resources it provides. They encourage biodiversity and the insect population, they use no chemical treatments, instead relying on a green cover and a native system of mobile trees, planted on trailers, to improve the biodiversity in the vineyard. All of this work results in organic wines that are able to convey the full strength and personality of this region.
