Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Marie Courtin Efflorescence Extra Brut is a biodynamic sparkling wine made by Marie Courtin with the Pinot Noir variety in the AOC Champagne, in Champagne (France).

The Marie Courtin winery was founded by Dominique Moreau in 2005 and named after her grandmother. It is located in the village of Polisot in the Côte des Bars, in the southern part of the Champagne region. This winery has small, biodynamically cultivated plots, focussing on low yields, the Kimmeridgian soils and no-dosage bottling to produce pure and very mineral champagnes.

Marie Courtin Efflorescence Extra Brut is a cuvée that comes from a single plot of approximately 2 hectares. The vines have an average age of 35-40 years old and are planted in clay soil and Kimmeridgian limestone. They are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

Marie Courtin Efflorescence Extra Brut is a sparkling wine made with the champenoise method. Firstly, it ferments in used oak barrels with native yeasts. Following the second fermentation in the bottle, also with natural yeasts, it is left for 3 years before disgorging.

Marie Courtin Efflorescence Extra Brut is a small biodynamic production whose name “Eflorescence” means “constantly evolving”. This is a champagne with great power and aging potential.
