Solear is a manzanilla (a type of wine similar to sherry) aperitif wine produced in Sanlúcar de Barrameda by Bodegas Barbadillo.
The base of this wine is made by fermenting Palomino grapes. The most delicate grapes are selected and fortified until reaching 15% ABV.
This is a fortified wine, referred to in Spanish as "sobretablas." It ages for six years under the "flor" (a cover of lees), converting it into one of the most aged manzanillas on the market.
Solear is a unique manzanilla, with lots of elegance and finesse.
