Manzanilla Argüeso San León Reserva de la Familia is an ample, complex and dry generoso wine. Intense on the nose, with prevailing aromas of yeast and its characteristic sharpness. In the mouth, all its virtues stand out delicately, and they become eternal in an extremely long finish.
Manzanilla Argüeso San León Reserva de la Familia is a generoso wine produced by Bodegas Argüeso in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Jeréz), D.O. Jeréz.
Bodegas Argüeso was founded in1822 by León de Argüeso y Argüeso when he bought some old "soleras" and the winery San José, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The winery has grown until today, ageing its manzanilla wines in over 20,000 square metres, located in the historic centre of Sanlúcar.
Since the very beginning, Bodegas Argüeso has made the most renown manzanillas, which are highly valued by experts. Their good work has come through in each of their bottles.
Manzanilla Argüeso San León Reserva de la Familia is a wine with biological ageing made from Palomino grapes, from vineyards located in the municipality of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
After they are harvested and pressed, the must ferments in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature of 25°C. Once the wine is selected, it is fortified up to 15% vol. Then it is introduced into the "criaderas" and "soleras" system, ageing biologically with the flor (yeast cap) for at least 90 months.
